Systems Laboratory (CISL)
NCAR's Computational & Information Systems Laboratory (CISL) is a world leader in supercomputing and cyberinfrastructure, providing services to over 60 UCAR member universities as well as NCAR and the larger geosciences community.

Earth and Sun Systems
Laboratory (ESSL)
The Earth & Sun Systems Laboratory promotes and facilitates the solar, atmospheric, and earth-systems research areas within NCAR. Research within ESSL is highly collaborative, with specialties focussed in four major research divisions, and one institute which administers collaborative projects.

Earth Observing Laboratory (EOL)
EOL provides state-of-the-art atmospheric observing systems and support services to the university-based research community for climate and weather research.

RAL conducts directed research and engineering toward the solution to problems relevant to society, and facilitates the transfer of the information, expertise, and technology developed to the public and private sectors.

Societal-Environmental Research and Education Laboratory (SERE)
The Societal-Environmental Research and Education Laboratory (SERE) is responsible for overall leadership in the definition, planning and execution of NCAR efforts in education and capacity building, appropriate social science components for NCAR research activities, societal and policy-relevant information products, and research on human-environment interactions.
