The Nominations Process: Overview

In order to make the Appointments Review Process easier, we have implemented a web-based system. Below is a brief outline of the methods for nominating and tracking a candidate. If you have further questions about the ARG process, please contact the ARG Administrative contact, Cindy Worster. Questions or feedback about this website can be given by email to Kristin Conrad.

Intructions for nominating a candidate

NOTE: All linked items, below, can be found under the ARG OVERVIEW and NOMINATIONS tabs.

  1. Read the Guidelines: Read the Scientific Appointments Policy and Criteria for Promotion to understand the policy and criteria requirements for promotion to Scientist III and Senior Scientist.
  2. Prepare the Nomination Packet: Prepare the PDF documents needed for each nomination, according to the Nominating Materials Guidelines. Collate them into ONE (1) PDF document so it can be uploaded. (Instructions for creating ONE (1) PDF document)
  3. Upload the Complete Nomination Packet: Use the Nomination form to provide basic information about the candidate, and to upload the Nomination materials. The Nomination form will guide you through the process.
  4. View Candidate Information Online (if desired): Check on the status of your uploaded materials (if you wish to) by logging on at the Nominator's Viewing Page (access instructions are provided after you upload you Nomination Materials).

If you are ready to prepare a nomination, please proceed to the Nomination Materials Guidelines.
